The concept of freedom to pursue happiness has a new meaning as we celebrate Independence Day in 2019. A year ago, this business was just a dream. Over the last year, we have pursued happiness through decisions that have allowed the dream of The Lost Room to become a reality.

It often seems like the idea of pursuing happiness is equated with guaranteed success which is not the case. While it is our desire that The Lost Room be successful, we know full well that this pursuit of happiness comes with risks. Still, we are blessed to live in a country where we are free to take risks, chase dreams, and pursue happiness.

So far our pursuit of happiness has been a lot of hard work. It has been months of construction, hours and hours of brainstorming puzzles, sleepless nights, and at times painstakingly slow progress. The process isn’t always fun and there is no guarantee of success. But we don’t have a right to guaranteed success, we have a right to try. And that is a right that we as Americans are fortunate to have.

We recognize that our freedom to pursue happiness has not come without cost. We are grateful to the men and women who fought over 200 years ago to give us this right as Americans and to the men and women who continue to fight to protect this right today. We are fortunate to live in a country where we are free to chase dreams because of the sacrifices made by the men and women in our military who put their lives in harm’s way to guard that freedom.

As a small token of our appreciation, The Lost Room offers a $3 discount for active and retired military personnel as well as first responders. This discount is available year-round to members of these groups and their families. To receive this discount, call us at 706-620-4121 to book your escape room experience. Thank you for doing a job that protects our ability to pursue freedom.

In honor of Independence Day, we are offering 20% off to all guests as we celebrate the founding of this country where we have the freedom to pursue that happiness. To take advantage of this discount book online at www.lostroomofhelen.com and use promo code FREEDOM at check-out. This discount is only available for online bookings and cannot be combined with the military and first responder discount. We hope you will let us be a part of your Independence Day celebrations and you will come “get lost” with us.

The Lost Room is more than just a business and a way to make money to us. This is our pursuit of happiness. It is a pursuit of not being just a name or number to an employer. It is a pursuit of turning a passion and talent into a career. It is a pursuit of sharing something that we love doing and creating with others.

This is our American dream – our white picket fence and apple pie. Seeing the enjoyment experienced by the roughly 80 people who have “gotten lost” with us over the last month has made the hard work worthwhile. Our passion is sharing this creation with others and we hope you be a part of our American dream and choose us for your next (or first) escape room adventure.
